It turned out Peter was divorced, lived alone and had three grown-up children with his ex-wife. He had worked in New York for the last 20 years, when he started to work in Manhattan. He would travel to NYC every week on Monday morning and return on Friday nights. He and his wife had grown apart slowly and one week, he went home early on a Thursday night to surprise her and had found her in bed with another man. Peter had been devastated and ever since had been single. He was just getting into dating again, but didn’t want to get into another serious relationship.
Jennifer was pleased to hear Peter open up to her. She felt she understood his situation a lot more now. Still, she was a little unsure about whether he was a Sugar Daddy or if this was just a fling. The best approach, she decided, was to go with the flow and see what the weekend in Paris brought. Anyway, she liked sugar daddy – he was a charming man and was treating her like a lady, and it had been a long time since any man had shown her this kind of attention.
They arrived in Paris the next day and checked into the Paris Ritz. Jennifer had never stayed in such a glamorous hotel in her life. It was amazing! Soft, toweling bathrobes, champagne everywhere and an amazing view of the River Seine. That evening, they went for dinner on the Champs Elysees and walked along the river after dinner. Everything was perfect. After dinner, Peter kissed her goodnight on the lips and they went to bed – each in their own room. The following day, Peter took her shopping in the chic Faubourg Saint Honore shopping district and treated her to a new purse, a gorgeous Armani coat and some amazing Jimmy Choos.
Jennifer couldn’t have been happier. That night, another romantic dinner and a musical. Another kiss goodnight but no sexual advances. On Sunday, their last day in Paris, they went for lunch at the Eiffel Tower and then off to the airport to board the flight home. Close to the end of the flight, Peter looked at Jennifer and told her how much he had enjoyed her company on this trip. He said he would love to have her accompany him on more trips in the future and would she be able to come with him to a charity golf tournament he had to play in next month in Barbados. Jennifer hesitated. “You see, Jennifer,” said sugar daddy for me, “I hate traveling alone and whenever I go anywhere, women approach me trying to get their hands on my money. I would rather have a beautiful, intelligent girl like you with me, whose company I enjoy. I know you enjoy my company, and while you enjoy the gifts I buy you, I don’t think you’re here just for the money. I am not looking for a new wife, or even a serious girlfriend, but if you would come with me on these trips and have dinner with me a few nights a week, that would make me very happy.” Jennifer smiled but didn’t say anything for a while. “Does this mean…” she said, trailing off. “Does this mean…you don’t want to have a sexual relationship with me? Peter laughed. “I’m not ruling it out,” he said. “Who knows what our friendship could develop in to, and I do find you very attractive, but that’s definitely not my primary reason for wanting to be with you. I’m looking to develop a friendship with you, hopefully a lasting friendship, and I want to spoil you rotten, share special romantic moments with you and explore the world with you at my side.” He paused and then said softly, “is that something you would like to do with me?” “Yes,” said Jennifer matter-of-factly.
